What this site collects, why, and what we do with it. Written from what the code actually does.

This page describes what the site actually does, but it has not been through legal review and some sections are still marked TODO. It is not a substitute for advice, and it should not be relied on until that review has happened.
Two things, and nothing else. First: if you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, what you wrote, and any file you attached. Second: basic analytics about how pages are used — which pages, roughly where from, and what browser.
This site does not use advertising trackers, does not build a profile of you across other sites, and does not sell anything to anyone.
What you submit is emailed to us and stored in that mailbox. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Attachments are passed along in the same email.
The form asks for consent before you submit, because we need it to reply. If you would rather not use the form, email us directly — it reaches the same place.
TODO(A.10.4): retention period. How long enquiries are kept is a decision for you, and it has to be stated here.
This site sets a small value in your browser to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice, and another to remember that you have already seen the loading animation this session. Neither identifies you.
Analytics may set its own cookies. The Cookie policy page lists what is actually set.
Our hosting provider and our email provider process this data on our behalf in order to run the site and deliver mail. We do not share it with anyone else.
TODO(A.10.4): name the processors once hosting and email are confirmed, and note where they store data.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will do it.
TODO(A.10.4): India's DPDP Act 2023 requires a named grievance officer and a stated response window, and GDPR adds further rights if you have visitors from the EU. This section needs a lawyer, not a template.
